A better tomorrow
We believe that training and sports can make our minds, souls and bodies into something more than they are today, and that anyone can become anything.
That drive does not stop at the gym or on the court. It follows us into how we design garments and choose materials, how we take responsibility for the people in our value chain and how we reduce our emissions.
Sustainability is not a side project for us. It is part of how we think, design and run our entire business, every day.
Growth and a lower climate footprint, at the same time
2025 was a record year for Björn Borg. We sold more than ever before and, at the same time, reduced the emissions per garment we produced, decreased by 6% compared with the previous year, (2025 vs 2024).
That is exactly the direction we want to keep moving in.
We are not there yet. We are on our way. And we are honest about where we are today, what is going well, what is difficult and what we still need to solve. We take sustainability seriously.
Our vision
"Tomorrow is formed today. To contribute to a better tomorrow, our focus lies on making changes where we can make the largest difference.
Through passion, a winning attitude, and hard work, we are determined to run a business with the deepest respect for nature and people."
The planet, the products & the people
Björn Borg’s sustainability work is built around three areas where we have the greatest opportunity to make a difference: the planet, the people and the products.
Together, they shape our path towards a more responsible business, all the way from the raw material to you, the person wearing the garment.
The planet: We take responsibility for our environmental impact
The largest share of the emissions occurs along the manufacturing chain, from cotton farming and material production, via sewing factories, to transport and packaging.
This is where our most important environmental work is done.
We work with material choices, renewable energy among suppliers, water saving production methods and smarter logistics to gradually reduce our impact.
We have committed to reducing our total emissions by 50% by 2030, compared with 2020, in line with the Paris Agreement and the goal of limiting global warming to 1.5 degrees.

Some key highlights:
• 85% of production at our sewing suppliers is now powered by renewable electricity (2025), up from 11% the previous year.
• All sewing suppliers we work with are now part of our joint plan for transitioning to renewable energy.
The people: Our business should be good for everyone who is part of it
Sustainability is not only about the planet. It is about everyone working along our manufacturing chain, from cotton farmers to sewing factory workers, and about the people who work with us.
We set clear requirements for working conditions and human rights among all suppliers we work with.
We audit, follow up and support continuous improvement. And internally, we are building a company where everyone can thrive, grow and contribute.

Team highlights
• Our employee engagement survey score of 84/100 is proof that we are on the right track.
• Several investments in employee development and training to strengthen knowledge and development among our employees.
The products: Made to last longer and have a lower impact
Every material we choose, every supplier we work with and every design decision we make has an environmental impact.
That is why we integrate sustainability into product development from day one.
We choose materials with a lower environmental impact, recycled polyester, organic and recycled cotton, TENCEL™ and much more.
We design garments to last. We set strict requirements for how products are made, covering everything from chemicals to working conditions for employees and energy use in production and factories.

Material highlights
• 70% of all polyester we use is recycled.
• Recycled cotton was introduced in our underwear collection for the first time.
Important goals
Sustainability is everyone’s responsibility
At Björn Borg, sustainability does not belong to one department. It is built into how we work, from the product and design team and logistics to finance, marketing and e-commerce.
Every employee also sets a personal sustainability goal each year.
