Examples of the materials of our shoes

Let’s talk about a selection of our shoes and more specifically, some of the materials we use for making them. Learn about the Global Recycling Standard and about leather production with LWG certification.

We also look at the details, such as shoe laces and the packaging – and of course we inspire you and show some examples of the shoes we have in our range.

What is Global Recycling Standard?

The Global Recycled Standard (GRS) is a product standard for tracking and verifying the content of recycled materials in a final product.

The standard applies to the full supply chain and addresses traceability, environmental principles, social requirements, chemical content and labeling.

The goal of the GRS is to increase use of recycled materials in products and reduce/eliminate the harm caused by its production.

Here you can read more about GRS.

Leather production with LWG

Our footwear licensee is a proud member of the Leather Working Group (LWG).

The LWG certifies leather manufacturing facilities based on environmental performance in areas such as water and energy use, air emissions and waste. Through our partnership with LWG, we source 100% of our leather from gold and silver rated LWG leather manufacturers.

Here you can see examples of men’s and women’s shoes in our collection which contains LWG certified leather. As you can see there are both boots and sneakers to choose from.
