We’ve teamed up with the London based Nigerian designer trio Vivendii for a limited edition collection.
Remaining true to their ethos of building bridges and synonymity between Western and Nigerian fashion trends; Vivendii’s unique approach to fashion makes them one of the most interesting designers today.
Which print from the collection is your favourite?
Purple bleach effect. This colourway was made for our PRAYING collection to represent the growing issue of skin bleaching in Africa as an impact of colourism. The bleach spots on the boxers represent the effect of the chemical on skin.
What brings you to collaborate with Björn Borg?
When Björn Borg approached us to collaborate on this project, it sounded very intriguing. The idea of fusing Swedish design principles and Nigerian youth culture makes for a unique collection.
What is the story of Vivendii? What does Vivendii stand for?
It comes from the latin phrase “Modus Vivendii” which loosely translates to “Our way of life”. That’s always what Vivendii was supposed to represent; how the three of us live our lives.
Who do you see wearing the pieces of the collection?
Young creatives worldwide - especially from the Nigerian diaspora.
